Now there is a great opportunity for those of you who want to convey and make cultural experiences available on equal terms for everyone, as we are looking for a museum educator for a temporary position, from October 2, 2024 to May 31, 2025.
Job duties
As a museum educator, you are part of our team for public activities, with colleagues who have extensive knowledge of the museum's operations. Together and on your own, you are responsible for planning and implementing the educational activities at the Jönköping County Museum.
The main task is to hold screenings for different groups. Children and young people are important target groups, but also other users of different ages who participate in screenings or educational activities.
The tasks also include producing data for digital lesson plans.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a teaching degree and have documented work experience as a teacher/pedagogue. It is advantageous if you have studied art or cultural history at university and have experience from similar tasks in the museum industry or other cultural, hospitality or tourism industry.
You have knowledge of the school's curricula and the ability to develop, plan and implement educational programs. Of course, you are good at engaging, inspiring and creating participation as well as adapting messages/treatment to individual conditions and needs.
Very good ability to work both in a team and independently is required. You must also be able to work when there is activity and movement in the work environment, work structured and prioritize when the workload is high.
The tasks require good general IT knowledge, mainly Office 365.
We attach great importance to the personal competence for carrying out the tasks.
The service also requires:
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, in speech and writing.
Excerpt from load register for work in school or preschool or for work in activities other than school and childcare.
B driving licence, is meritorious

The working hours are normally weekdays 8 – 17, but work in the evenings and weekends may occur.
