Schering Stiftung

The Schering Foundation promotes life sciences, contemporary art, and scientific and cultural education. Central to the foundation's work are projects at the intersection of science and art: these include exhibitions and formats for dialogue between scientists, artists, and society.

The Schering Foundation is operationally active and develops its own projects and programs. It implements these alone or with cooperation partners.

The independent, non-profit foundation was established in 2002 by Schering AG, Berlin. It has an endowment of 35 million euros. The foundation's board of trustees, comprised of prominent figures from the fields of culture, science, and business, decides on the allocation of funds twice a year.
