Biography
Ali Talaat is an artist in an architect body, passionate about exploring the interconnection of architecture and art. He gained valuable experience in Denmark and Lisbon, shaping his approach to art as an architect. Through his situated practices, he aims to push the boundaries of the creation of art, researching the ownership and entitlement rights within the art market in Egypt to gain insights into the diverse and dynamic art and culture.
Ali dialogues with different artists from various mediums under the cloud of “If Copy Then Value”. He believes in the power of copying as a tool for self-education, using it as a deformation tool that preserves ideas.
As an artist and researcher, he seeks new ways to push the limits at the intersection of art and architecture. Seeking a wider spectrum of copies broadens the range of mediums to explore.
