Biography

Ana Giles (Lima, 1993) is a Peruvian interdisciplinary artist who works at the intersection of poetry, photography, and cultural translation. Her work draws on the diverse nuances of urban Lima, her travels through different cities, and a constant interest in how identity is constructed from territory, memory, and language. Her perspective combines the intimate and the social, observing the city as a living organism and the word as a space where that which normally remains hidden resonates.
Initially trained at the National University of San Marcos, Giles cultivated an early relationship with image and word. Her photographic work—focused on daily life, the textures of the city, and the poetics of fleeting moments—has been exhibited in Lima, Arequipa, and Quito, where it was recognized for its visual sensitivity and its ability to capture emotions contained in seemingly simple scenes, fluid identities, and the places where cultures intersect.
