Anna Costantino

Anna Costantino is a visual artist whose practice moves between drawing, expanded painting, sound, and installation art. Her work explores the relationship between space and matter perception.
Her imagery is deeply influenced by the countryside landscapes of southern Italy. In those places the porous matter becomes a vehicle of spatial belonging. In this sense, the observed matter, collected and transformed acts as collective placeholder, built around and through those local axis mundi in a lived and embodied relationship with space.
