BIOGRAPHY
Mina Mohseni is an Iranian artist residing in Berlin. She holds a Bachelor's (BFA) and Master's (MFA) degree in fine arts. As a multidisciplinary artist, she also excels as a set designer.
Her artistic practice is diverse, encompassing drawing, participative installation, video, and printed matter, all driven by a socially engaged and research-led working methodology. Mina pursuits revolve around themes, including the power system, public space, water, nature-ethics, and their influence on identity formation.
Her work serves as a platform to raise questions about the lives of the middle- class and the significance of public spaces. To present alternative narratives, she weaves in elements from sports and fairy tales. Delving into the margins of daily life and subcultures, she explores the expectations of a possible future through speculative fiction, reflecting on personal struggles and perspectives.
Mina Mohseni has held ten solo exhibitions and participated in over 40 group exhibitions and residencies, and urban projects across various countries, including Iran, Kuwait, England, Turkey, Austria, Finland, Lithuania, Portugal, Germany, and France.
