Biography
Ekaterina Seromakha is a Moscow-based artist working at the intersection of science art and environmental art. She was born in 1987. She received her artistic education at the Art Studio School (graduating with honors) and then at the Perotti School-Studio. She is a member of the International Union of Animal Artists.
Since 2020, she has actively participated in Russian and international exhibitions. Her works have been exhibited at the Mars Center for Contemporary Art, the Zdes na Taganke (Here on Taganka) and ARS.VISIO galleries, as well as at venues in London, Canada, and other countries. In 2020, she held a solo exhibition at the Mars Center for Contemporary Art dedicated to the rescue of marine mammals.
In 2023, Ekaterina curated projects at the intersection of science and art, including ""The Beauty of Science"" and ""Are We Whales?"" She has participated in the Gamma Festival and EcoCup and won prizes at the YugArt and Nature of Inspiration competitions. Her work has been published in Russian and international art publications. Her practice explores ecology, marine biology, and the relationship between humans and nature.
