Sebastián González de Gortari

Sebastian González de Gortari has a doctoral degree in Audiovisual and Visual Arts from the Hasselt University and PXL – MAD, Hasselt, Belgium. He also has a Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics by the Institut für Künstlerische Keramik und Glas, Hochschule Koblenz, Germany and a Master of Arts in Fine Arts by the Utrecht Graduate School of Visual Art and Design , Utrecht, the Netherlands. After completing his bachelor he was awarded a Jovenes Creadores artistic production grant in the sculpture discipline granted by the National Fund for the Support of Culture and Arts (FONCA) in Mexico. For his doctoral studies, he was awarded a PhD research scholarship by the Hasselt University’s Special Research Fund(BOF) for the period of 2018 to 2023. He has performed and exhibited his work in galleries, independent spaces and museums in Belgium, Mexico, the Netherlands, Germany, Turkey, and the USA.
