Irene Abello

"Irene Abello, born in Bogotá, Colombia in 1995, lives in Paris and work at Les Ateliers Wonder.
Irene Abello works with invisible energies, approaching natural elements as materials to be sculpted. She focuses on revealing their formal patterns as they emerge through the physical reactions of matter. To do so, she carries out minimal actions within her immediate environment—sometimes limited to simple observation. She captures and reinterprets her perceptual experiences through installation, photography, and video: flames consuming debris, clouds of steam escaping from a manhole, flourishing sprouts bursting from wilted potatoes, raw walls subtly slipping away from view... Each of her works emanates from a living moment, drawn from reality and held in suspension—paused by an act of re-enchantment.
Her work has been showed in France (Paris Internationale fair, Galerie Air de Paris, Espace Niemeyer) other countries in Europe and Mexico (Salon Acme) "
