Biography

Katharina Bévand is a Berlin-based sound artist who develops site-specific, spatial and multi-channel sound installations and sound sculptures, and performs live on modular synthesizers. From experimental electronic music to sound art, she explores the interplay of sound, space and perception to create immersive and deep listening environments.

Her sound oscillates between drone, industrial and ambient. She received an Honorary Mention from bonn hoeren - sonotopia / Beethovenstiftung Bonn in 2017 and has participated in the Madou Sugar Art Triennale (Taiwan), the 90 Jahre Haus des Rundfunks Festival, the Dystopie Festival, the Goldrausch Projekt für Künstlerinnen, the EMS Studio für elektroakustische Musik / ADK and the Braunschweig Projects, among others.
