All About Curating

Biography
Melissa is an emergent poly-form artist. She got her Master Degree in arts at the ENSAPC, Cergy France in 2023 and afterwards moved to Berlin where she is based. She works with painting doing portraits of her migrant-queer community, she does performance based on tells focusing on her mixed family heritage, and she also creates installation and sculpture using textile mediums.
Those last two years she had a growing interest in the use of wool fiber. Currently she is researching on natural dyes, combining the fiber with other organic elements and learning about the legacy of felting methods. She organizes felting workshops and developed a brand of sculptural-wool-lamps to expand her perception of the medium.
Her work has been showed at Salon ACME during MexicoCity's Art week, 100% l'EXPO in Paris, ZAK – Zentrum für Aktuelle Kunst Spandau and won the Biennial of the Americas 2025 Award.
