Biography
Rocío Soria Díaz is a visual artist, VJ, video artist, and curator. Her practice explores the hybridity between analog and digital technologies, investigating glitch as a response to hyperreality and the moving image as an extension of the body. Her work sits at the intersection of art, nature, and technodiversity, using both ancient and contemporary media to create visual narratives that challenge the boundaries between the human and the non-human. She has developed projects such as Pensamiento Manglar, intertwining memory, territory, and contemporary mythologies. Her work has been showcased at festivals, exhibitions, and international residencies. Additionally, she has curated artistic projects, collaborating with artists and cultural spaces. She is currently seeking to expand her practice, exploring new languages and production strategies to strengthen her positioning in the art world.
