Sophia Yvette Scherer

Sophia Yvette Scherer (*1991, Darmstadt) is a curator and writer based in Berlin. She holds a Master’s degree in Curatorial Studies from Goethe University and Städelschule, Frankfurt am Main, and previously studied Art and Art History, Asian Studies, and Cultural Management. She has worked on numerous institutional exhibition and publication projects, including for Studio Karin Sander, Museum für Moderne Kunst (MMK), Portikus, Frankfurt, Deutsche Bank Collection (Frankfurt/Berlin), KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin, and the Julia Stoschek Foundation, Düsseldorf. She was a fellow of the Curatorial Research & Residency Program (2021/22) at the Julia Stoschek Foundation. Since 2022, she has been the Program Coordinator of BPA// Berlin program for artists, and from 2023 to 2024, she was a Research Associate at Bauhaus University Weimar, where she curated the program for the University Gallery – nova space.
