All About Curating

Biography
Timika Sukhai is an emerging curator, writer, and researcher whose work focuses on the African diaspora and the intersection of archival history and storytelling. Her practice is driven by a commitment to uncovering overlooked narratives and exploring how art can function as both a vessel for memory and a creative reimagining of diasporic life.
As a Curatorial Assistant and Project Manager for Art Voyage Biennial, she supports exhibitions that centre migrant experiences and global movement. In this role, she collaborates with artists, institutions, and communities to develop projects that amplify diasporic voices and challenge conventional approaches to heritage and representation. Her curatorial experience also includes working on art exhibitions in London, where she has contributed to showcases highlighting emerging and historically marginalized perspectives.
She is now focusing on expanding her personal practice, developing work that blends research, archival exploration, and creative expression to deepen conversations around identity, displacement, and cultural memory.
