Gabriela Maciel. TAL Residency program
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
"The residency programs are laboratories for
research, creation, production, and artistic,
cultural, social, and environmental development.
The project includes the participation of artists, curators, scientists, professors, and researchers from diverse areas: urban, peripheral, national, and international, promoting dialogues on knowledge and cultures, sharing knowledge, generating
creative innovation, and positive impact.
The residency program began independently, online in 2020 and in-person in January 2025.
Each program includes curatorial support with
guest curators, visits to studios, museums,
galleries, and research centers, and meetings with cultural professionals in dialogue with professionals from many areas.
There are four thematic axes: Expanded Field, Air, Echo, and Dome, which unfold across various institutional collaborations and a broad relationship with the public in exhibitions, publications, outreach, inclusion, and education. One of my aims with AAC mentorship is to develop a cultural exchange collaboration to expand de visualization across local and global networks for artists, curators and researchers from and or based in Berlin and abroad."
