PROJECT TITLE

Huecos llenos de aire

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

"This project investigates the body as a site of material, sensory, and mnemonic inscription through painting and expanded painterly practices. Conceiving the canvas as a body, the work understands cavities, fractures, and voids as layered structures that hold air composed of memories, emotions, and lived experiences. Through a process of approximation, the artist engages in a performative dialogue with the surface, constantly moving between proximity and distance to negotiate form, boundary, and totality. The act of painting becomes a method of extending the body toward the unknown, where forms emerge through decision, overflow, and transformation. Boundaries remain provisional, defined only through their continuous reconfiguration, allowing the work to unfold as a dynamic reflection of corporeality in constant motion."
