Open Call: Fieldnotes｜New Forest Masterclass

Hong Kong International Photo Festival (HKIPF), in collaboration with Singapore International Photography Festival (SIPF), presents Robert Zhao Renhui’s "New Forest" Masterclass during his residency as Artist-in-Residence at Koon Man Space.

The programme invites visual artists, photographers, lens-based practitioners, and interdisciplinary artists to develop new or ongoing projects engaging with the ecological and cultural conditions of Tai Mo Shan’s secondary forest landscape and the urban–forest relationship.

Their works will be presented as part of the Fieldnotes Exhibition of HKIPF Photo Festival 2027, held at Koon Man Space and Chuen Lung Village from 27 February to 15 June 2027, alongside Robert Zhao Renhui’s Seeing Forest (Hong Kong Edition) and his new site-specific work.

Submission deadline: 20 August 2026, 23:59 HKT

Programme fee: HKD 5,000 per selected participant

Production support: Eligible participants may apply for reimbursement of approved production expenses up to HKD 8,000, upon submission of valid receipts.
