Open Call: Helpmann Fellowships 2026
Helpmann Academy

Dream big. Be bold.
Three Helpmann Fellowships of up to $7,500 are available to support ambitious, self-directed projects that advance the artistic and professional development of emerging creatives.
Proudly supported by the James & Diana Ramsay Foundation, Fellowships are open to emerging creatives across all eligible disciplines, including individuals and collectives.
Funding can support larger-scale creative projects, tailored professional development, or a combination of both.
Previous Fellowships have supported:
Creation of new work
Exhibitions and performances
Residencies and internships
Touring and recording
Specialised training
Long-term professional development
Every Fellowship is unique, giving graduates the freedom to pursue career-defining opportunities on their own terms.
To find out how your bold ideas can become a reality, join us for our Online Information Session on Tuesday 4 August at 6pm. This is your chance to ask questions and hear from past Helpmann Fellows, Gemma Salomon (Film, 2024), James Watson (Theatre, 2020, 2022) and Bryan May (Visual Arts 2025) before you start work on your application.
