As part of Struer Tracks 2025, we are launching the Almanac – a publication centered around the upcoming biennial’s theme, Kommunal Praksis – a reflection on communities and communal practices through the lens of sound art, emphasizing their role in fostering belonging, bridging divides, and nurturing shared experiences and mutual support.

This experimental almanac will accompany our biennial, inviting sound artists, researchers, philosophers, and sound lovers alike to contribute with no restrictions on format, style, or direction. Your ideas can be in any form—whether written, recorded, or something else. Please note that while we prefer applications in English, we are also open to receiving them in Danish.

We don’t yet know if the Almanac will be printed or digital. The format will be determined by the contributions we receive and the direction the project takes. We also can’t say yet how the selection process will happen—it depends on the volume and diversity of applications.

Approximate Timeline:

— Open Call Application Deadline: January 20
(Submit your proposal for an article, poem, essay, or any other format you find interesting on the topic Kommunal Praksis)

— Open call results: February 3

— Final Material Submission for selected applicants: March 1
