The GfZK and the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony (KdFS) award an annual scholarship to young curators. The funding provides a 12-month working stay at the GfZK, with the aim of promoting curatorial exchange and establishing long­term partnerships with the art scene in Saxony. In 2025 curators from Kosovo are invited to apply.

Spending a year at the GfZK provides scholarship holders with the opportunity to actively participate in the development of the institution’s artistic programme. Depending on individual interests, they can deepen their knowledge in the areas of mediation, communication, finance and collection management. At the same time, they will develop and present their own curatorial project at the GfZK.

The scholarship is funded with 1.000 euros per month. lt starts on the 1st of June 2025 and runs until the 31 of May 2026. Accommodation will be provided.
