About Call
The Photo Oxford 25 Open Call welcomes work from photographers, curators, collectives and artists from around the world.
Our stellar panel of jurors are ready to engage with new and refreshing visions of life and personal experience expressed through photography.
Photo Oxford is an international festival of photography that takes place biannually. The dates for our next edition are 25th October to November 2025. As the name suggests it takes place in the beautiful and historic city of Oxford which is a short train ride away from London.
The Festival is known for its connections to the great museums and colleges of the world famous University of Oxford but we look to the world for participants and seek to engage in a global conversation about photography.
We are very excited to announce the launch of the Photo Oxford 2025 Open Call. Out theme this year is ‘Revealing Truth’ which reflects the broader theme for Photo Oxford 2025 of 'Truth and Photography’.
Our judges are looking for photography that captures the spirit of the moment in whatever guise that may be. We are looking for fresh work that captures your relationship with photography and the truth of the world as you see it.
There will be one overall winner and nine co-awardees all of whom will be exhibited at the internationally renowned Modern Art Oxford. There will also be other prizes, details of which can be found at the Photo Oxford 2025 Open Call on Picter.

The Open Call is now open at Picter and entrants have until 17th May 2025 to submit a project of up to 20 images. Winners will be announced in June and the exhibition will open in September 2025.
